Jake Knowles
Knowles returns to Dixie Speedway victory lane
Capitalizing on a tangle between the front runners, Jake Knowles jumped from third-to-first on a restart Saturday night at Georgia’s Dixie Speedway and never looked back en route to his second victory of the 2021 season.
His latest triumph was worth $1,500 and came aboard his Welshan’s Competition Racing Equipment No. 66 Josh Roberts Trucking/ Robert Skinner Racing/ Savage Chassis Late Model. Both of his 2021 triumphs have come at the Georgia oval.
“We were in the right place at the right time, when those guys got together in front of me on the restart. Luckily, I was able to avoid the incident and got to the lead. From there, we cruised to the win,” Knowles shared. “Thanks to everyone, who makes this possible. We’re looking forward to going after the $10,000 prize in Florida this coming weekend.”
Jake Knowles visited Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Ga.) on Saturday afternoon, where he was once again piloting his Josh Roberts Trucking No. 66 Late Model. After qualifying second fastest overall in time trials, Jake was running third in the feature when the frontrunners tangled, elevating him into the lead. He went on to capture his second win of the season and a $1,500 prize. Logan Palmer, Tyler Ellis, Blant Duke, and Devin Stuart trailed him to the checkers in the 25-lap affair.
